Lytag can be used bonded (with cement) or unbonded (loose) for maximum flexibility. Its free draining properties allow significant reductions in hydrostatic pressure. Lytag’s shape and low density requires only limited compaction.

Logistical advantages

Using Lytag aggregate maximises load sizes, as greater volumes of material can be transported in vehicles. Being half the weight of natural aggregate twice the volume can be carried.

Placing and handling

Using Lytag aggregate reduces the risk of injury from manual handling due to being approximately half the weight of normal aggregates. Being lighter also means less damage to existing surfaces while work progresses.
